[He obediently leans into the kiss, content to linger there. Kissing Shiro is one of his favorite ways to express how much he loves him. He starts to chase him for a second kiss when the words register.

Keith blinks and says quietly,] Oh. Right.

[He had been so relieved to see Shiro again the date had slipped from his mind. That and chasing answers had taken up his priority slots. Keith leans in and breathes,] Thanks, Takashi.

[Just before he kisses him again and cups his face in his hands. Shiro cares and that matters a hell of a lot. When they pull back for air he grins.] Thanks for remembering it. I completely forgot it was coming up. The dragon stuff and you took up my focus. Especially you.

[galrarm]

[ He smiles, warm and easy, the one that's meant for Keith and only Keith. Gently, he tucks a stray lock of hair behind Keith's ear, then kisses him yet again. ]

Hey, you can count on me to never forget your birthday. [ Lightly, he touches his forehead to Keith's. ] I even managed to make you breakfast. I'd say I'm improving.

I knew you could. If mom can teach me to make bugs taste okay, you can make decent food. [He makes a small pleased sound as he draws back enough to press a kiss to Shiro’s forehead and brush his hair back.]

I don’t forget your birthday either. You can always count on that too.

[His stomach growls and he bites back a surprised yelp as Kosmo presses his cold nose to Keith’s bare back. The wolf huffs and walks off, clearly pleased to go outside. Keith leans into Shiro with a laugh.] Okay, now he has had his say, let’s have breakfast.
